Overview

Beelzebub (ベルゼブブ Beruzebubu) is the sixth sister of the Stakes of Purgatory, representing the demon Beelzebub and the corresponding sin of Gluttony. She first appears in Turn of the Golden Witch.

Profile[]

High-quality Furniture created by Beatrice.

Beelzebub is the gourmet of the sisters and is known for being a big and picky eater.

Her personality is similar to Mammon's, and the two sisters often fight over the same thing.

She's always talking about food, which makes her a calming influence among the sisters.

However, she also has that disturbing desire to kidnap pretty boys and store them in the food cellar...

Appearance[]

Beelzebub has brassy hair in two short drill-shaped pigtails, a fair skin tone and big red eyes. Her clothes are the same as those of the other Stakes. She wears the One-Winged Eagle on her "skirt".

Personality[]

Beelzebub really enjoys eating food.

Abilities[]

Like the other Sisters of Purgatory, Beelzebub can create a magic sword and transform into a stake to fly at very high speeds and gouge people.

Background[]

Beelzebub was summoned by Beatrice to take part in her ceremony. Her vessel is that of a ceremonial stake set that Kinzo bought.

From an anti-fantasy perspective, Beelzebub is an imaginary friend created by Yasuda and based off of the servant Belne.

Relationships[]

Overview[]

Role in the Story[]

Turn of the Golden Witch[]

Beelzebub is first seen when she tries to break into Natsuhi's room, where Gohda, George and Shannon are. Gohda tries to block the door with his body, but Beelzebub stakes him in the chest and kills him.

Banquet of the Golden Witch[]

Beelzebub and the other stakes torment Battler to no end, staking him to death countless times. She and the sisters humiliate the eldest sister, Lucifer, when she fails to kill Kanon and later bear witness to the duel between Beatrice and Virgilia, acting both scared and amused.

After EVA-Beatrice becomes the Stakes' new master, Beelzebub and the others show displeasure, especially when the witch substitutes them with the Chiesters, calling the Stakes unworthy of being furniture.
