Overview

Tetsurou Okonogi (小此木 鉄郎 Okonogi Tetsurō) is the president of the Ushiromiya Group, taking the position after Eva's death. He first appears in Alliance of the Golden Witch.

Profile[]

A leading member of the Ushiromiya Group. Between the time of Eva's death and Ange succeeding her position, management of the Group has fallen to core members like him in her stead.

However, Ange has no desire to inherit that role, leaving the Group on the brink of fracturing internally and putting Okonogi in a difficult position.

He was once the president of a foodstuffs distribution company and had an intimate relationship with Hideyoshi's business.

Because of that long-lasting association, Eva trusted him particularly, and he was appointed to an important post within the Group.

Relationships[]

Role in the Story[]

Turn of the Golden Witch[]

The president of Okonogi Foods who looked after George Ushiromiya is mentioned when Eva's family visits Rokkenjima privately at one point before the 1986 family conference. It is unclear if the person in question is Tetsurou Okonogi.

Alliance of the Golden Witch[]

Okonogi is first properly introduced. In 1998, he tells Ange that her hatred of Eva prevents her from fully understanding what happened on Rokkenjima, because "without love, the truth cannot be seen." He allows Ange to escape as Kasumi Sumadera attempts to capture her and arranges for Juuza Amakusa to act as her bodyguard.

Dawn of the Golden Witch[]

In the Tea Party, Okonogi calls Amakusa and orders him to assassinate Kasumi, giving him information about the Sumadera family head allowing it and that Kasumi and her men are going to Rokkenjima. He also tells Amakusa to be clever about "that" and talks about Ange, lamenting that she's become a liability since she's no longer playing the part of a secluded lady. Okonogi says this is for the sake of "world peace".

Twilight of the Golden Witch[]

In the Trick Ending, during the boat ride to Rokkenjima, Ange tells Amakusa about her suspicions that Okonogi sold her out to the Sumaderas since Kasumi's men invaded Okonogi's building at the same time Ange was there, and that Okonogi wants both Ange and the Sumaderas indebted to him. Ange concludes that Okonogi hired Amakusa to kill her and Kasumi on Rokkenjima, allowing the Ushiromiya group to be stable and the Sumadera family to get rid of Kasumi's faction.

In the Magic Ending, Okonogi assumes full control of the Ushiromiya Group after Ange passes it on to him. Okonogi bids farewell to Ange, aware of her abandoning her name.
