Overview

Mammon (マモン Mamon) is the fifth sister of the Stakes of Purgatory, representing the demon Mammon and corresponding sin of Greed. She first appears in Banquet of the Golden Witch.

Profile[]

High-quality Furniture created by Beatrice.

Mammon is quick to grab whatever she wants, without any concern for her sisters.

Her motto is "monopolize through greed", which means she's usually the main cause of any arguments between the sisters.

However, she is also the most honest about her own feelings, and the one most likely to try and please the opposite sex.

She may be greedy, but she's a hard worker who will stop at nothing to capture her target's affections for all eternity.

Appearance[]

Mammon has long brown hair, fair skin and big red eyes. Her clothes are the same as those of the other Stakes. She wears the one-winged eagle on her "skirt".

Personality[]

Mammon tends to get very possessive of people and objects.

Abilities[]

Like the other Sisters of Purgatory, Mammon can create a magic sword and transform into a stake to fly at very high speeds and gouge people.

Background[]

Mammon was summoned by Beatrice long ago to take part in her ceremony. Her vessel is that of a ceremonial stake set that Kinzo bought.

From an anti-fantasy perspective, Mammon is an imaginary friend created by Yasuda and based off of the servant Manon.

Story[]

Banquet of the Golden Witch[]

Mammon is summoned alongside the other Stakes of Purgatory by Beatrice to claim victims for the first twilight. They gang up on Gohda and try to attack Kumasawa, who is revealed to be Virgilia.

Alliance of the Golden Witch[]

Mammon accompanies Ange the most out of all the sisters, and is referred to as her "one and only friend". She and Sakutarou are the ones primarily seen until Ange suffers a breakdown. The Stakes are all ordered to kill Ange's bullies, and when they are unable to, they're all denied and cast away, leaving Mammon left. She scolds Ange for being so weakminded and is ultimately cast away during Ange's rage.

Later on, when Ange travels to Rokkenjima, she resurrects the Stakes and apologizes to them. Mammon soon accompanies Ange when she steps foot onto the island.
