About pictures
Why are we using the PS3 sprites for the articles? I mean, they look plain, dull and boring. When I look at them, it feels... you know, like we are using them just because they are "upgraded" versions and therefore "should be used instead of the original ones".
Just why can't we use the original sprites? They are awesome and every Umineko fan loves them. I'd love this wiki even more and the articles would be better.87.221.76.129 21:27, May 25, 2012 (UTC)
- Actually we are using them because they are upgraded. I love the original sprites also but the new sprites are much more accurate when it comes to the article details. Another reason is because of eye colors and there are many reasons. We are using the new sprites and that's thatAsukaHanyuYay 21:53, May 25, 2012 (UTC)
- My reason for using them, besides that because they are updated and upgraded, is because for newbies to the series and for non-original-version readers (like people who read the manga/watched the anime/played the PS3 version and didn't know about the original novel), it would look more "official".
- I am one of said non-original-version readers (I read the manga first, found the Wiki, then learned about the visual novel); when I first came here, I didn't know that the PC/original sprites were the official sprites and thought they were fan art. (I asked and was clarified that they indeed were the official sprites.) What is the meaning of the name Ushiromiya?
I was not sure where exactly to ask this on the wiki-having rarely used the site until recently.
But I have been looking and looking everywhere as this question has been pecking at the back of my head for some time now.
From what I've seen so far in-game the meaning of the family's name is never explained is it?

Yasu & spoilers
Whilst I'm aware that spoilers are unmarked on this wiki, I don't think that a link to Yasu's wiki page should be provided on the main page, especially not under a section labelled as "Main Characters". I just feel that this is rather misleading to people who have not heard of Umineko and are looking it up, or to those who only watched the anime and are looking up information about the Visual Novels.
