The Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru (うみねこのなく頃に散 When Seagulls Cry Breakdown?) games tell the second half of the story and start to delve into the core of the mystery. These games are not simply solutions to the first four arcs, but also continue the story, shifting it into new terrain. However, as the core of the series is approached, several clues to the first four arcs are revealed along the way. Each arc in this series contains all of the previous Chiru arcs.

EpisodesEdit

Episode 5: End of the Golden Witch

A new perspective on the mystery of the Golden Witch is presented in this chapter, with the witches Bernkastel and Lambdadelta playing a more prominent role. The main characters of this story are Kinzo, Natsuhi, and a new character, Erika, who approaches the murders from a "mystery" perspective, unlike Battler who had taken an "anti-fantasy" stance. The story focuses on the possibility of a relationship between Battler and Beatrice. This time the game is suspended before its conclusion, so the fate of most people on the island is unknown.

Episode 6: Dawn of the Golden Witch

Following the events of the previous game with the introduction of a new Game Master, this chapter does not delve into the solution of the mystery so much as it displays the Game Master's understanding of it. Though what it does add to the solving of the mystery is important clues linked to the main culprit. George, Jessica, Shannon, and Kanon are depicted as the main characters, alongside two Beatrice replicas resulting from a series of failed attempts to resurrect Beatrice. Characters from the year 1998 return, additional characters are introduced, and hints regarding the true nature of some of the characters are revealed.

Episode 7: Requiem of the Golden Witch

Bernkastel becomes the Game Master. In order to uncover the truth about Beatrice's death, she invites ace inquisitor Willard H. Wright to investigate the mystery. In this series, Natsuhi does not reject the child given to her by Kinzo, and the child grew up to be Lion Ushiromiya.

Episode 8: Twilight of the Golden Witch

Battler and Beatrice have re-taken control of the Game Board, and Battler allows Ange to come to the Golden Land. However, upon realizing that this world was not the complete truth, she decides to uncover the truth, no matter the cost.
